A mini backyard ultra taster session on The Longbridge 100 Backyard Ultra course. This is not a backyard ultra. This is a taster session that offers a mini experience of a backyard ultra but incorporates a Marathon achievement. This event will be a diluted version of the main Longbridge 100 Backyard Ultra. Perfect for runnners who want to experience a backyard format but also for runners that want to attempt a hilly trail marathon in a controlled environment.

We will meet at Cadence Cafe in Litlington at 9:30am for race registration and briefing.

The run will start at 10am and will be be guided by Darren Evans as run leader. We will return to start finish at approx 10:50am with the next yard/lap starting at 11am (backyard format) after a 3 min, 2 min and 1 min whistle and a bell will start the next yard/lap. All runners willl need to pick up a yard token at turnaround point 2 and return with it to record their yard/lap.
On lap 2 runners can then choose to run together or independently. We will repeat the same process for lap/yard 3 and 4. On lap/yards 5 and 6 there will be additional challenge of running an extra 1km to complete a Marathon distance. This is the challenge aspect of the run.
All runners completing all 6 yards + 1km on yards 5 and 6 willl receive:

1. A bespoke yard/token box with all their tokens collected during the run.
2. A personal Longbridge 100 Marathon memento. (only if completing all 6 yards within the 1 hour cut off)
2. A Liquid Spirit Roasters Bag of Coffee.
3. A can of Longman Brewery Beer.

There will be an award for the fastest lap/yard completed on laps/yard 2, 3 or 4.

*must collect all 6 tokens for each corresponding lap/yard completed.

Full medical cover for entire event with 2 portable toilets (runners only) and 1 onsite toilet (public).

We will provide basic provisions of water, fruit, flapjack and maltloaf.

Please bring your own cup as we are a cup free event.

Cadence Cafe will be open for snacks and hot drinks but please bring your own hydration and nutrition to sustain you for the full event.

We will have a 8m x 4m marquee to rest in between each lap/yard.
